Jennifer Finnegan is eighteen. She has just joined one of America’s most prestigious ballet companies as an apprentice. Jennifer collects Handel operas in alphabetical order, lives on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, drinks way too much Pepto-Bismol to calm her nervous stomach, and her dream, besides being a ballet dancer, is to move to Paris, France, and maybe join the Paris Opera Ballet. But life doesn’t always work out the way you want it to. Jennifer has a secret, a secret nobody must know. She is losing her eyesight to a genetic retinal disease for which there is no cure. And no one, absolutely no one, must find out about it, or that will be the end of her career, and of all her dreams.
